Your jacket's on the empty seat

The windows shake above the street

I watch our station slide away

And leave the words I couldn't say

The tunnel opens into blue

For once the morning isn't you

Last train, first light

I'm taking back the sky tonight

One breath, new start

The city keeps my beating heart

Last train, first light

Your shadow slips out of my sight

I missed the stop we used to know

This time I'm glad I let it go

A coffee ring, a paper cup

The sleeping town is waking up

I write my name against the glass

And let the old reflection pass

Last train, first light

I'm taking back the sky tonight

One breath, new start

The city keeps my beating heart

Last train, first light

Your shadow slips out of my sight

I missed the stop we used to know

This time I'm glad I let it go

The seat beside me stays unclaimed

The view ahead has finally changed

Last train, first light

I'm taking back the sky tonight

One breath, new start

The city keeps my beating heart

I missed the stop we used to know

This time I'm glad I let it go
